OVERVIEW
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR JIRA ADMINISTRATOR:
- Provide quality system admin support for Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Compass, and associated add-ons and integrations to other tools such as Gitlab, Zendesk
- Manage Jira projects, users, permissions, Jira screen schemes, notification schemes, custom fields, field configurations, workflows, workflow functions
- Work with business users to evaluate JIRA and Confluence plug-ins, determine licensing needs, and perform testing, installation and configuration of the plug-ins
- Manage global and project customization. Install and configure custom Jira add-ons to provide enhanced capabilities (e.g. Automation for Jira, JMWE, etc.)
- Develop automated scripts, post functions and triggers using Python, JAVA, Groovy, REST API and Webhooks.
- Familiar with Jira Cloud for Sheets in Google Sheets and Looker studio.
- Establish standards, best practices, and governance for managing Jira and Confluence.
- Good understanding of the implementation of the Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework.
- Provide technical support for user management, creating custom dashboards, projects, issues, queries, workflows, and reports.
- Write custom JQL (Jira Query Language) to construct custom dashboards, advanced filters, and reports, using various filter types in JIRA.
- Experience in migrating Jira from one instance into another.
- Work with Atlassian support for the issues and resolving them in a timely manner without any interruption to the users.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve the tools.
- Provide recommendations to users and management on best practices and standardization in implementing projects and processes within Jira and the Atlassian suite.
- Develop and maintain technical and user-facing documentation and standard operating procedures and guides
- Maintain a healthy application environment by periodically reviewing and modifying configurations, permissions, workflows, dashboards, integrations, and logs.
JOB EXPERIENCE FOR JIRA ADMINISTRATOR:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or Engineering or related experience
- Working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira, JSM, Confluence, Compass, and Atlassian add-ons such as, Automation for Jira, JMWE, Gitlab for Jira
- Working knowledge and coding experience using Python/JAVA and REST API
- Process governance experience or strong automation workflow knowledge
- Experience with Agile methodology lifecycle
NOTE:
- Years of Experience: 2-4+ years of relevant experience
- Hybrid set up: 2-3x a week onsite in Taguig
- 6 months subject for performance evaluation for renewal
